Perspective
So November/December are slow months for husbands company, and after two years of recession, no real savings to speak of the help us through the slow months. Was frustrated this morning at juggling to make payroll, mortgage, etc. Fought for some time at the studio to work on music and when I got downtown the wind was blowing fierce and cold. There is a man named Vincent who lives on the street...
Brian composing to my words :)
It's freezing in the studio
But the Gods have smiled upon me and I have rough draft lyrics for Franklin and Tamarind done.
“she’s a beauty alright, in her red dress from last night
And the palm trees and her big dreams seem perfect in this light
Shoes in her hand, everything here’s a big plan
And Hollywood is fitting, fitting just right. “
BTW. Santa Monica and Western is done!
And signed! Go me!!!!! ;)
Thank you Universe for continuing to provide!
Random checks, gigs and even a stream of production work is keeping me in the studio and supplied up! I am thankful for the ability to dream and the nuts to put my nuts on the line and JUST DO IT!
Dear Oil Paints...
I am in love with you.
I know feelings are not facts and I am a fickle...
And yet, I am going to go with and enjoy the feeling I have today of truly feeling like an artist and musician and knowing there is real truth in the statement “if you can dream it, you can be it.”.
Think it might be a good afternoon for some Jay Z.
